2020-21 school year is commencing on September 8th. We are all so excited to “meet” you. We have included all the Google Classroom codes for art quarter 1 in case you have not been invited into Google Classroom by us. Don’t forget to pick up all your supplies and chromebooks on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. See you all very soon!!!

Tech Ed. What? – Fun with Animation

October 3, 2018

New school year brought some new changes. Mrs. Kashi on top of being an art teacher, she is now also teaching Tech. Ed. But of course, it couldn’t be Tech Ed. alone without Mrs. Kashi adding a strong artistic element to the subject. So for her 7th grade, she is teaching student’s animation. Starting the year with Traumatropes and Zeotropes and now students are making flipbooks. Here is some of the finished videos:

Scholastic Art and Writing Award Winners!

January 19, 2018

This year we submitted a small number of work for Scholastic’s Art and Writing Awards. Congratulations to Rundlett Middle School art students who won 2 Silver Keys, and 2 Honorable Mentions. The following 8th grade students won: Rae Lynn Shi won a silver key for her painting “Shared Spaces” and a honorable mention for her ceramic piece “Cathedral of Exeter”. Lex Pelley won a silver key for his self-portrait “I’m Here, I’m Queer, Deal with It” and Ryan Sheehan received an honorable mention for his self-portrait “Even the Darkest Night Will End, and the Sun Will Rise”. These students will be recognized at the Stockbridge Theater on the campus of Pinkerton Academy during two ceremonies on Sunday February 4th at noon. Their work will also be displayed at the same location from  January 16th – February 4th.
